How You Have Been Made To Depend

Prologue
You may think you are free.
But look closely at your own day. Every movement, every comfort, every habit rests on something that was given to you as a promise — and later turned into a chain. Salt, sugar, farming, schooling, medicine, cars, television, smartphones — one by one, life has been captured and tied down.
Dependency was never natural. It was manufactured. It was taught, advertised, and forced until you forgot the alternatives. And once you forgot, the cost became permanent — not just in money, but in health, freedom, and peace.
This work is not to make you afraid. It is an invitation to study carefully, to see each dependency for what it really is: a trap with an exit. Nothing here asks you to run away from life. It only asks you to see clearly. Once you see, you can choose. Once you choose, you can liberate yourself.
Read slowly. Question each page. Notice how each dependency began with a promise, tightened into a trap, erased its alternative, extracted a cost, and still leaves you with an exit.
Liberation is not dramatic. It is patient. It is the quiet work of reclaiming what was stolen from you.
This exposé is your mirror. Look into it.
---
Part 1 — How Dependency Is Created
It always happens in the same way:
1. First, a promise – “This will make life easier, safer, tastier, faster.”
2. Then, a habit – Your body or routine gets trained to expect it.
3. Next, a lock-in – You build your life around it (roads, towers, EMIs, OTPs).
4. Alternatives are removed – Old ways are mocked, banned, or forgotten.
5. Surveillance and fees are added – KYC, subscriptions, penalties, upgrades.
6. Costs are pushed on you – Money, health, stress, pollution.
7. You are trapped – You feel you cannot live without it.
Once you see this pattern, you will recognize it everywhere.

Part 3 — The Mental Trap: The Habit of Needing
The biggest trap is not salt, phones, cars, or TV. The biggest trap is always needing something.
Need a vehicle for 1 km.
Need an app to talk to neighbours.
Need a camera to feel safe.
Need packaged water to drink.
Need likes to feel valued.
Once you learn to question every “need,” half the chains fall away.
---
Part 4 — A Simple 12-Week Exit Plan
1. Attention: One no-screen hour daily; one half-day no-screen weekly.
2. Movement: Walk/cycle under 2 km; learn 5 daily routes without maps.
3. Food & Water: Cook 10 easy meals at home; carry your own water.
4. Home: Open windows; use fans first; plant shade.
5. Money: Cancel unused subscriptions; use cash for daily spends.
6. Community: Talk to neighbours; join one club offline.
---
Part 5 — Tests to Spot a Dependency
Unplug test: Do you panic without it?
Cash test: Can it work without apps and OTPs?
Repair test: Can you fix it yourself?
Neighbour test: Does it cut you off from people?
Walk test: Does it stop you from moving your body?
If the answer is yes — it’s a trap.
---
Part 6 — Closing Note
CCTV records crimes but does not prevent them. True safety is neighbours, lights, and open streets.
TV promises family time but steals it. True family time is stories, food, and laughter.
Cars promise freedom but create jams and debt. True freedom is walking distance living.
---
The Truth
Man was not born dependent. Man was made dependent — on salt, sugar, farming, cars, cameras, phones, money, screens, and endless products.
Dependency is not natural. Dependency is designed.
And every dependency can be reduced once you see it clearly.
---
Epilogue
You have seen it now.
The promises that became traps. The alternatives that were erased. The costs that you quietly kept paying. And yet, in every case, there was still an exit.
No dependency is final unless you allow it to be.
Salt, sugar, medicine, machines, networks, comforts — they do not own you unless you agree to forget yourself. The system thrives on your forgetfulness. Liberation begins the moment you remember.
Do not imagine that freedom will arrive all at once. It arrives in steps. It arrives every time you cook your own food instead of buying a packet. Every time you walk instead of waiting for a machine. Every time you think instead of letting a screen think for you.
This is not rejection of the world. It is recovery of yourself. You do not have to break everything around you — you only have to stop being broken inside.
The exit is already here. Quiet, simple, waiting.
Take it patiently. Live it daily. Guard it fiercely.
Liberation is not given. It is taken back. And it is yours.
