Sunil Jadhav and Prakash Singh, two government pharmacists from Kalgi, suffered for years from gastritis, acidity, and stomach erosion due to irregular meals, excessive tea, and dependence on antacids like Omez and Pantop. Visiting Madhukar’s off-grid farm near Yelmadagi, they healed fully over six months through a disciplined natural approach: daily castor oil belly packs using authentic oil, jowar-based seasonal diet, fermented foods, early dinners, weekly home-cooked non-veg, walking, fasting, and silence. Under Madhukar’s guidance, they gradually stopped all medications, reversed side effects, and restored their digestion and clarity—healing not just their bodies but their relationship with food, rhythm, and self-discipline.

Scene 1: Arrival at the Homestead

It was just after sunrise. The smell of red soil and castor oil hung lightly in the air near Yelmadagi village. Sunil Jadhav, 32, and his colleague Prakash Singh, 35, both pharmacists at the PHC in Kalgi, parked their bike near the wooden gate of Madhukar's off-grid homestead.

Adhya and Anju, Madhukar's homeschooled daughters, greeted them warmly. “Please sit, Anna,” said Anju. They sat beneath the neem tree. The morning was still.

Madhukar stepped out carrying a cotton cloth, drying in the sun. He smiled quietly and joined them on the floor.

---

Scene 2: Sunil and Prakash Open Up

Sunil started, eyes tired. “When I got the PHC posting in Kalgi six years ago, I was proud. But slowly I fell into the tea rounds, hotel lunches, delayed dinners. Within two years, I had gas, acidity, and heartburn. Then the chest pain started.”

“I did an endoscopy,” he added, “and they found erosion. I started taking Omez, Pantop, Aciloc... all from the PHC shelf.”

Prakash jumped in, nodding. “My symptoms were similar, minus the chest pain. I had nausea, bloating, and sometimes loose motions. But both of us were living on pills.”

Sunil sighed. “I was a pharmacist who couldn’t heal himself.”

---

Scene 3: Side Effects from Long-Term Medication

Madhukar asked gently, “What were the side effects?”

Sunil listed: “Dry mouth, poor sleep, weak legs, foggy memory, low energy.”

Prakash added: “Constant bitter tongue, burping, heaviness even after small meals. Joint stiffness too.”

Madhukar nodded. “You were blocking your body’s voice. Antacids destroy stomach acid, confuse digestion, and slowly make the body give up.”

He paused. “They make you forget how to eat.”

---

Scene 4: The Real Cause

Madhukar continued softly, “It wasn’t the acid. It was decay. When food stays too long in the stomach because of poor timings, bad combinations, stress and chemicals, it ferments. That’s where your pain came from.”

“Your stomach was not attacking itself. It was asking for help.”

“The chest pain,” he added, turning to Sunil, “was from rotting gas pushing upward. Not your heart.”

---

Scene 5: The Healing Protocol

He then outlined the path:

1. Daily castor oil pack on belly – 20 ml of pure cold-pressed oil, applied for 45 minutes in the morning with cotton and plastic wrap. And hot water bag over it.

2. Eliminate six whites forever:

White rice

White sugar

Refined salt

Maida

Refined Oil

Milk

3. Occasional sweets only homemade with jaggery during festivals.

4. Daily homemade buttermilk with lunch.

5. All-time jowar roti, seasonal and local vegetables, green leafy curries.

6. Cooking only in cold-pressed safflower (kusubi) oil.

7. Weekly non-veg (home-cooked only): country eggs, free-range goat or sheep meat, fresh fish or country chicken.

8. Early dinners – always before 6:30 PM.

9. 30–45 mins walk daily, especially post-meal.

10. Fermented foods daily – ambali, idli, dosa, curd.

11. Monthly fasting on Ekadashi, or one-meal light food.

12. 2 hours of silence each week.

---

Scene 6: Stopping the Medicines

Sunil asked, “Should I stop the pills suddenly?”

“No,” Madhukar said. “Let the healing take charge first.”

Week 1–2: continued half doses of medicine with full protocol.

Week 3–5: used medicine only when discomfort arose.

Week 6 onwards: stopped completely. No rebound acidity.

They maintained a simple symptom logbook. The improvements were steady.

---

Scene 7: Warning About Castor Oil

Madhukar handed each of them a 1-liter bottle wrapped in cotton cloth.

“Never buy castor oil from Ayurveda shops, medical stores or online. Most are deodorized, refined, hot pressed, full of hexane or mixed. Healing will fail.”

“I prepare it traditionally, low-heat, filtered, and stored in food grade PET or glass bottls.”

Sunil nodded. “It smells like something ancient.”

“Because it is,” said Madhukar.

They returned every 50 days, and with each visit, they picked up a fresh bottle.

---

Scene 8: Three Visits Over Six Months

Visit 1 – They began the healing. Meals became simple. Pills slowly reduced.

Visit 2 (50 days later) – Symptoms were halved. They smiled more. Food fear was gone.

Visit 3 (6 months) – No tablets for 3 months. No chest pain. Full, calm digestion.

---

Scene 9: Children’s Words

Anju giggled, “Appa says fake oil is like fake promise—it sounds good but never helps.”

Adhya gave them ajwain pouches: “Keep this in your pocket, not tablets.”

---

Scene 10: Final Teachings

Madhukar looked at them gently. “You didn’t heal because of me. You healed because you chose to obey the body.”

He showed his notebook: Name: Sunil Jadhav Issue: Gastritis, chest pain, erosion Outcome: Healed completely in 3 visits

He recited Ajja’s line:

“If mealtimes are upside down, even gold-like medicine is useless.”

---

Scene 11: Epilogue

Back at PHC Kalgi, Sunil and Prakash now pack jowar rotis in steel tiffins.

They smile when pharma reps offer free samples: “No, thank you.”

Sunil mentors juniors: “Don’t confuse relief with healing.”

Prakash logs food histories of patients before touching the prescription pad.

On their final visit, they sit in silence beside Madhukar under the neem tree.

They refill their oil bottles, bow gently, and ride back with the morning breeze behind them.
