As soon as you are born, you are labeled as a child by society, a son or daughter by your parents, a brother or sister by your siblings, a grandchild by your grandparents.
For all these people, you have to perform the acts, rituals, commitments, duties etc expected out of the labeled role.
These labels are implanted on you because they are already pre-existing. You are a son only when you have parents, a brother only when you have a sibling, a grandchild only when you have grandparents. If anyone of these is not there, you will not be labeled by them. For example, if your grandparents are not there when you are born, you will not get the label of grandchild. Similarly, if you are first and only child, you will not get a label of brother or sister.
As you grow up, more labels are installed on you like a student, sportsman, teenager, topper, smart, good, adult, employee, poor, rich, husband, father and so on.
And each of these labels define what you should do and what you should not do.
Your entire life, every moment of it, every thought you ever get and every action you take are to meet the expectations of these labels.
You exist just as these labels.
There is no action possible out of the boundary of your labels.
The label is just an idea. Your parents call you a child, to make use of you as a child. Your siblings call you a brother or sister to run their life around this idea.
So, you are nothing but a bunch of ideas installed by everyone around you. You just react (no action is also possible) in response to these ideas.
Let me install some new ideas in your head.
You don't need a Guru, you can be yourself. Throw your crutches and walk.
You don't need a Doctor, you can be free from diseases through self care.
Your child will learn what you teach, and become what you are. Focus on becoming healthy and wealthy.
Poverty is for idiots. Be smart. Make money.
You are on your own. You are alone.
There is no purpose to life.
As long as you try to be happy, you will end up unhappy.
Be physically active, you will live longer.
Friends and relatives should be enjoying giving and receiving. Not taking and taking.
Life is a terrible bore. Don't run away from this boredom. You will end up with more boredom.
This is everything. Whatever you see happening around you is the reality. Accept it. Suffering, birth, death, crimes, dramas, abuse, exploitation, selfishness, disparity, slavery, war and everything you see is real. There is no escape from this. As soon as you accept this, you will find a way to live among all this.
